Continuing the discussion from "This topic will automatically close in 3 months.":
I read the whole thread and yet have to see a single reasonable explanation or valid reasoning behind the use of the Auto Close Topic feature. Plenty of users explained why not to use it.

This topic itself is a perfect example why the Auto Close feature should be turned off.

I’m also wondering what it is supposed to be good for. It’s causing problems but is there any problem it is solving?
