I’m using sketchup 2023 and it works fine.
It says SU17 and 18 because it hasn’t been updated since. but you can install it anyway and it works fine.
just follow the two steps on the photo I posted in my previous message : start the plugin, click on camera, let it work.
I removed and added again then it worked. (ShadeDat)

Yes there is a bug, the extension only works on the file that is opened when Sketchup starts. Opening any other file via File>Open or File>New will cause the extension to throw the following error. I’ll see if I can find a workaround before contacting the author. The Ruby is encrypted so I don’t hold out much hope.
