it does. all sketchup versions can open files from previous versions. you’ll get a message on screen telling you that doing so will prevent reopening the files on your older versions, but it works.
unless you mean that it doesn’t save to older versions ?
do you have a specific file that refuses to open in 24? can you share it ?
It only opens files created with the 2024 version; it doesn’t open any files from previous versions.
It directly gives an error and closes the program.
There must be something else. Either the file you are trying to open is corrupted, or your installation is in fault or incomplete. Try repairing your installation. Locate the installer file, right-click, select “Run as administrator” and click on “Repair” when the dialog box appears.
Post the file you are trying to open for others to take a look.
