I am fairly new to using section cuts, so I must be doing something wrong but when I use section cuts it does not show the grip points or the section cuts. Everything is switched on in the styles as well as in the view.

could it be that the section plan is really really big ?
are you using the new engin or the old one (check in preferences / graphics).

I did check the engine, it is only with the new one that it doesnât work, it does work with the old one however.
Do you think I canât use the new engine? And does this have any negative consequences?

yeah, looks like your GPU is too weak to handle some of the new engine parts. the sections, in this case.

technically some integrated GPUs (intel iris and such) are compatible but they wonât necessary handle the pressure.
overall, sketchup pro requires (more and more) a dedicated GPU to run with the new engine. luckily enough, for now at leaqt, itâs still shipped with both engines. you can switch when needed.
