I have a model of an array of ground mounted solar panels which I have Geo-Located in Sketchup. Using the sloped terrain I have placed my panels on the ground and they look fine within the Sketchup. However when I export the model as a kmz and try to view it in google earth the panels cut into the ground in places. Almost as if the terrain data is different in the sketchup model to the google earth. It appears in the right place in google earth but cuts the terrain. Is there anyone who has had a similar problem, or who has a solution?
