My users are stuck in an authentication loop as of this morning. I need eak12.org to be resolved, whether it’s adding us to the whitelist or whatever we need to do. Thank you for your quick response.

You are all set, please let me know if you need any additional help accessing SketchUp for Schools. Please keep in mind that your G Suite or MSFT admin will still need to accept the privacy policy for your domain before your users can log in.

Hi, I’m wondering if someone can help me. I am using SketchUp for Schools with my students under the COVID Sketchup at Home situation. I am teaching all summer and would like to continue to use it past the June 30 cut-off date. I teach in a school with a Google for Education domain, will my students be able to continue to work in Sketchup after June 30? Is there something I need to do to turn on their accounts? Thanks!

@tcahill SketchUp for Schools will continue to be accessible to all K-12 schools as always, and so if your students have been logging in with their school domain accounts they will be able to continue to do so.

If they have been using personal accounts, you will want to instruct them to switch over to their school accounts, and verify with your district administrator that the SketchUp for Schools app has been allowed for your school. You can test this yourself by signing in with your own school account before having your students switch.

We haven’t been using SketchUp for Schools until the COVID crisis, so we have never logged in with school domain accounts. When I sign in using my own school email address, it tells me that I have the free web access but it does not seem to be an edu account. What do we need to do as a school to get the SketchUp app turned on?

Hey Trisha,

You’ll just need to have your school’s IT administrator log in and agree to allow the app on your school’s app store. Once they’ve done that you and your coworkers can test it out by logging in with your school addresses.
