Hi everyone –

We’re looking for an experienced freelancer with strong SketchUp and LayOut expertise to help us build a reusable, sales-friendly workflow for customer-facing visuals.

Hands-on experience with both SketchUp and LayOut is required for this project.

About McCue

McCue designs industrial safety and asset protection solutions used in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers worldwide.

Project Overview

We’re building a SketchUp + LayOut-based tool that allows our sales team to create professional, branded facility visuals within one day. This is an internal sales use case (not public marketing or cinematic renders).

The focus is on templates, workflow, and usability, not one-off renderings.

Scope of Work

You’ll be responsible for two connected deliverables:

1. SketchUp Rendering & Environment Templates

  • Improve visual quality of existing product components

  • Create branded SketchUp environment templates sales can reuse

  • Required views: top-down floor plan + isometric

  • Focus on realism, clarity, and consistency (not marketing-style renders)

2. LayOut Templates & Automation

  • Build branded LayOut template(s) based on provided mockups

  • Link SketchUp viewports (plan + iso)

  • Minimize manual formatting and layout work for sales

  • Semi-automated or automated population from SketchUp data (views, legends, basic BOM formatting)

Light internal documentation is a nice-to-have, not a primary requirement.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated experience using SketchUp and LayOut together

  • Comfortable creating LayOut templates, scaled viewports, and referenced models

  • Experience building repeatable workflows, not just individual renders

  • AEC / industrial or architectural visualization background preferred

Timeline & Budget

  • Ideal timeline: Feb 9–13
    (If this is not realistic, please propose a timeline you recommend.)

  • Budget: $3–5K
