Layout has become quite problematic since 2025 update:
Crashes on PDF export not for everyfile but majority export to PDF hangs then shuts it down. If I print to PDF sometimes it works other times I get weird textures, loss of colours (WORK AROUND IS TO TURN OFF EXPERIMENTAL GRAPHICS ENGINE)
Labels lose their position when refreshing or reconnecting models. (HOPEFULLY CURED VIA 25.0.634 UPDATE)
Text boxes randomly clip text - formatting lost on close and save, right alignment adds random spaces or clips letters from the text box even though space to the left.

Objects become unselectable at times particularly off page ones.
Drag right select (select all) fails to select all only top level object
Not a bug per se but annoying none the less - when moving an item used to be able to press ctrl to leave the item in place and copy item (drag to new place) this still works once but have to release and repress to repeat. Was a huge time saver when you could just keep it depressed!
Have you downloaded the 25.0.634 patch? That should solve the labels jumping.

Do you have the experimental graphics engine enabled? Sometimes that messes with text, so you could try disabling that in Layout Preferences ā Performance
Thank you so much for your reply! I have downloaded the latest updates yesterday. So fingers crossed on the labels. YES! turned off experimental graphics engine and it has now successfully exported a PDF. Thank you so much! Experimental graphics engine will remain switched offā¦

Yes, Iād be very curious about the font face and anything else you can provide. Iām considering asking the forums for your preferred fonts (even if theyāre not free) just so we have a ādo not break or make it moveā list to test against with automation.

I use a variety of fonts but staple would be Yo Gothic Light. Essentially the text āmovesā about. So in the video that will hopefully attach I write the text, close the text box and the formatting changes. This is bad enough - but the when it exports to PDF it changes completely again (often clipping drawings, or the very text box its contained within. (screen grab of exported PDF v Layout Screen also hopefully attached.)

Point being position of text changes considerable compared to other points on the page.
So effectively contending with three positions of text.
Regarding the font - Yo Gothic Light jumps more than 3x the amount of Yo Gothic Semibold (which still jumps, just less) in new graphics. In classic, they jump about the same amount. Iāll file a bug for this.
Has anyone looked at the font in a font editor to see if thereās anything unusual about it? I was going to but I cannot find a font called Yo Gothic Light or even Yo Gothic Semibold.
Also Gianni_447, FWIW, I downloaded the font on Mac as well, and Yu Gothic UI, Yu Gothic Light and Yu Gothic Bold didnāt jump at all in classic. Switching to New Graphics they jumped more. Good bug.

By way of date with the other issues. Turning off experimental graphics engine has cured the PDF most of the time - although I do still randomly get a crash on export. If i reopen layout and export again it goes without hitch but potentially a bug somewhere (computer seems to hang - at the start then crash. ie doesnt start exporting.)
Also Barry as you have been fab thus far.
Not a bug at all but a missing feature that really impacts my work flow, shapes drawn and scaled in layout can be dimensioned but would be soooo useful to be able to find the area!! Please can this be added soon!
