MSPhysics Chain Problem

I’m trying to model an arc of chains, but I can’t figure it out.

When i set it to compound mesh, the yellow wireframe isn’t on the inside, so MSPhysics thinks there’s no hole in the chain. When I play the physics simulation, all the chains disassemble and fall on the ground.

When I set it to static mesh, it gets the shape right. But then it doesn’t move… I even tried setting its state to movable, but it didn’t work.

Here’s the model.

I’ve been trying to figure this out for about an hour now. I’m totally stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

Update: I just found a tutorial, so now it works.

The end ones as static/frozen meshes and the others as compound Cd’s seems to work.

@whiterabbitdesigncompany I tried that, but it didn’t work until I divided the chain into groups (in a chain link component) to make the hole in the collider.

Also, I had to change the timestep to 1/1200 & the solver model to 64 passes, so the simulation was accurate enough to prevent the chains from coming apart. The physics simulation took about 29 minutes, but at least it worked! :grinning:

As Forest said, the chain must be divided.
