I am trying to add moldings from the 3D warehouse. There seems to be a profile out to the left. Do you need the pro version to work with moldings? I am addibg moldibg to a pedistal for a table.
No. You don’t need pro for that. Could you upload the SKP file so we can see what you’ve downloaded and how you’re trying to use it?
As @DaveR noted, you don’t need Pro to work with moldings. However, many models in the 3D Warehouse for things such as moldings were created by converting manufacturers’ CAD files. As such, they may have contents placed strangely in the SketchUp model space and may contain excessive detail that will bloat your model (e,g, large numbers of edges used in small curves). Download the file into a standalone SketchUp model and check it carefully before you start using it in your real model.

Which molding are you referring to? The one underneath the table top?
Yes I put it there the best I could but I’m new to sketch up so could not get it in place. I just wondered why there seems to be a profile attached. I couldn’t figure it out.
I’m not seeing this profile. Can we look at it together? I’ll send a private message.
Edit: I was looking at the wrong molding. The one you are referring to isn’t in the model space. You can open the component for editing and delete that profile. I expect the author left it there in case others wanted to use it with Follow Me or something.

Yes. I see. The component you download includes a length of the extruded molding and the profile as a separate component which you could use in conjunction with Follow Me to run the crown molding around the room.
