MacBook Pro with M3 max forRendering

Hi, I really want to start delving into rendering my models but my current 2015 MacBook Pro would be way too slow.
Would a Pro with the M3 max chip and 48gb ram be any good for this?
My models are garden designs so heavy on planting components. I know I could save money and get a pc but have used a Mac for the last 10 years and like it.

If you use VRay consider using the ChaosCloud for final renders. Setup small tests locally, then send final full size to the cloud. I do this with a 2019 iMac.

Note there were (are) still some issues with SketchUp and M3 chips.

And I’ll likely be upgrading my machine next year, so I’m curious what you get…

@ bmike: I’m using an M1 Studio and an M2 McBook Air, I see no problems at all with the M1 nor with the M2, except a glitch with the visibility of the crosshairs, of which I think it’s a Sketchup bug. Which issues do you see with the M3? Curious because my next machine will be an M3.

@ Bster: Which application/plugin do you want to use with the Pro M3 for rendering?

I don’t see issues, I don’t have an M3…

Hi, currently I don’t render at all. TBH i bloody hate computers and have blundered through self teaching myself SKP over the years. I most likely don’t use it as proficiently as you guys but it serves its purpose.
So my next question is what would be the simplest rendering software for a thick like myself?

Enscape is fast and not very difficult to learn. The results are stunning. And it runs very well on a Mac. They are the only company I know with a fast responding team when you have a question. (the company is named Chaos).
