This is a rather old post but, I thought it would be good to restart the conversation a bit.
First, let me introduce myself. I’m Ted Vitale, I’m a long time SketchUp user, advocate for all things SketchUp, and since early 2024, the new Product Owner for SketchUp for Desktop. What does that mean? Well, essentially I make sure that we are doing everything we can push the tool we all know and love to be the best it can be. It also means I look to the forums to try and better understand the needs of our users (both Mac and Windows) and turn that into actionable visible change and improvement.
With that in mind, its pretty obvious the Mac UI in its current form, is due for some substantial updates. Which is (and has been for some time now) underway! We’ve recently released a new Labs version of SketchUp and are looking for more Mac users to test.
