MAC & Memory Leaks on 2025&2024 (working fine with 2023)

I have few news after testing.

I think that issue is connected with CEF, we are using a lot of htmldialog and try to refresh them in some part of plugin.

In SketchUp 2025 → CEF 128, the memory leaks is hugeee,
In SketchUp 2024 → CEF 112, the memory leaks is big, but 3-4time smaller than 2025

In SketchUp 2023 → CEF 88, no memory leaks, everything works perfect

Still trying to find the real source of isssue, but maybe that will help.

@colin you said before about fix memory leaks, Do you know about memory leaks for newest sketchups connected with HtmlDialog?

There was a Mac specific HTMLDialog issue that was fixed in the most recent 2025 update. You could double check to make sure the version you’re using is 25.0.659.

There is at least one other HTMLDialog issue that is fixed in internal builds. It’s hard to be sure whether it was memory related.

Try doing a Google search for “memory leaks in CEF 128”, and read the AI response. Best option would be if we at some point included a later CEF.

thanks for answer!

Yes, can confirm that I’m using version 25.0.659

Tried to find about memory leaks in CEF 128, but without success. I tried to use garbage collector by GC.start, but without any change.
funfact: Funny that gpt redirected me to this page.

Is there any other way I could help?
If you want any analyses data or some.
In short 2025 has bug and 2023 works fine.

Here is my ‘process sample’ from MAC, there is a lot of lines with ‘Chromium Embedded Framework, attached full file
