M1 Mac Toolbar Editing is Broken: No Panel, Crashes in 2025-26

Have been working on installing SketchUp Pro 2026 on my M1 Macbook Pro.
Running 2025 as my main platform until the setup is sound on 2026.

I have done the plugin migration. Cool tool!

Now Im trying to update toolbars:

When i click on the toolbar to edit it, there is normally a panel that pops up with all tool icons. This panel is not populating. Nothing happens except that any spaces between tools are made visible. After some time waiting for something to happen, I try clicking on the tool bar again and SketchUp crashes. This is repeatable.
What is more, this behavior has also been replicated in 2025. I can’t now do anything to update top tool bars.

Thoughts?

Upgrade to 2026 where this is fixed. You likely have Selection Toys or 1001 bit tools installed (or possibly another extension) that breaks the customize option on Mac.

Known bug. Lots of posts. Should be fixed in the latest 26 update.

Otherwise disable those extensions. Restart SketchUp. Customize. Then enable the extensions and restart again.

Got 1001bit tools and Selection Toys.
Broken in 2025 and 2026. Latest update? Do you know which one?
Thanks for workflow. That helps.

Working for me:

broken in SU 25/26 in the most recent mac os versions (at least the last 2). it’s the combo of SU + mac os that causes trouble.

it got fixed with a workaround in su26.1 last week

did they do a back update on 2025? or is it just a 2026 solution?

No. They never make fixes for previous major versions.
The fix for SU2025 is the SU2026 itself, and its subversions…
