I live near the AFA. They are currently deep into a multi year project to rebuild and repair the entire 50+ year old AFA Chapel. It is built out of very geometrical repeating shapes. Seems like it’d be a great modeling project for SketchUp.
As a side note, they’ve chosen to completely enclose the Chapel in a temporary “fabric” enclosure so they can work on the Chapel in all weather conditions. The fabric is very similar to the same stuff used for the roof structure out at the DIA airport. It is also the same stuff used for things like large horse riding arenas and other large fabric covered buildings.
