I have a plan set (PDF) from a general contractor and/or architecture/engineering firm that has dimensions listed as latitude and longitude. We are working as a subcontractor. Today, I spent time locating our part of the project on Google Earth. Then I did KML to DXF, and the dxf did NOT seem to work.
~10 years ago, I worked for an engineering firm that took survey data as GPS points. Then, it was imported into AutoCAD. Are there GPS points that are compatible with SketchUp?
Or do I ask the general contractor for a copy of the dxf? But even if I do that the data won’t be geolocated.
