Is there a command to get a Birdseye view of the axis?

I’d like to be able to view a “flat” version of a file—say, a plan view—so that when I print it the lines come out without jagged (distorted) edges. Any way to do this with a command?

Do you mean a Top view in Parallel Projection?

Birdseye view is quite different from what your question further on is about. That’s more like @DaveR suggests in his answer.

Do you mean you want a top view where the lines are aligned with the screen? If you draw parallel to the model axes this is already the case. Otherwise you can right click a face on the front of your model, select Align View to look at the model from its front and then use Eneroth Relative Top View to get a top view with a rotation based on the previous view.
