Is it possible to convert a .skp file into a datasmith file?

Hi, I want to know that ‘technically’ and ‘by the sdk agreement(or the law)’ I can create a standalone executable that converts .skp file into datasmith files without any SketchUp applications.

I know that Epic Games provides Datasmith SDK and Trimble provides SketchUp SDK. So I would like to combine them together.

Anyone who have tried this kind of stuff or can give me some idea?

The C API is meant exactly for this, allowing third party applications to consume SKP files.
