You seem to be confused about the 3D warehouse and this forum. Both are public, the people responding to you don’t work for Sketchup, we’re all just users. And the warehouse is a public repository, anyone can post, Sketchup team isn’t making all those models, random users are making them. There are also many professional models there too, try searching products rather than models. Complaining about general model quality is like saying poor profile pictures on Facebook are the fault of the platform.
The 3D Warehouse has never been curated or quality-controlled. It was conceived as a means by which all users can show off and share their models with no implied or explicit value judgement…
The problem is that value judgement can’t be separated from what a user intends to do with a model. For example, a model of a plant that uses 1 million edges and faces may be fine if that is the focus of your needs, but gross overkill for mere “entourage”. A model of a piano complete with all internal working parts, fasteners, etc. is fine unto itself, but unless those parts will be visible in your model of a room, they are completely irrelevant. Conversely, a very simple model of an object is likely to be very ugly if your goal is a photo-realistic render.
Trimble has added some filters for total file size and amount of geometry. Additional filters for source (e.g. manufacturers, Pro users, …) might be a valuable addition but the basic issue of needing to examine a model to gauge its suitability for your needs would remain.
Spoken like a politician. A lot of rhetoric and ignorant of the problem
Then, Can you tell me where one would use this racially insensitive model I found posted Wonderful 3d Warehouse ?

As @slbaumgartner (who I believe is not a Trimble employee or contractor) wrote: “all users can show off and share their models with no implied or explicit value judgement…”
Trimble, who owns and manages the 3D Warehouse website, does not actively curate the posted models. There is a button “Report Abuse / DMCA” on a model’s page, which you could apply on models that you believe warrant it.
If you find something inappropriate in the Warehouse, I understand that there is a way to flag/report it.
??
Sorry, not being American, I don’t understand the term. Your link doesn’t work so I cannot know what model you are pointing to.
Races are nonexistent social constructs. When asked about mine, I always refuse to answer.
The few models made by the SketchUp team have always been high quality. The older ones are not very detailed but are extremely lightweight. As computers have gotten better the SketchUp team have started publishing more detailed but heavier models.
I agree a lot of the models in the warehouse are totally unusable, but these are no made by the SketchUp team but by the community. Saying Trimble pushes unusable models is simply untrue; if anything you could argue the search and filtering is inadequate but not Trimble’s own content.
Also you don’t pay anything for the 3D Warehouse. It’s freely available to SketchUp Free and SketchUp Make users.
