I have an issue with my model

Good afternoon,

First post for me. I have a weird issue when rendering with VRAY. I’ve been using SketchUp and Vray for some time now but it is the first time I see this kind of issue. When rendering with CPU (which we use at the office that I am currently working for) it appears like I don’t have enough lighting in the room but when I move the view few centimeters forward every is ok and when rendering the first view with GPU Vray engine everything is fine. I reverse engineered the problem and it seems that some groups that are high at the ceiling either beams or the roof slab are causing the issue and when hidden all renders are fine. So my question is what is causing this issue?

Thank you in advance!

this is the same photo of the same view using the GPU render. Which takes 6 times the time to render so that is probbly why they don’t use it here.

Unless you post a model that shows this behaviour no one probably can guess what is behind it. Usually GPU or RTX rendering is much faster than with CPU only. Is the CPU render actually finished? What happens if you reset all render settings to default? Some render features work with CPU only so if they are on in the settings they might be slowing the render down or causing other issues.

The link for this file the scene in question is cam03. After reverting to defaults and some more testing it seems you were right about the GPU rendering. It is faster than the CPU render but it didn’t solve the CPU rendering issue.
