I see the problem which wasn’t evident in the screen shots due to the X-ray face style. You have a face over the top of the walls. Delete that face so you have access to the walls themselves. Then you can do what I showed.

PS. Since I have you here, just wanted to quickly ask how you might go about starting the upper level. Should I bother inserting the floor plan on top of what I have done already?

I wouldn’t bother importing the second floor image if I could use the first floor as a reference and accurately place the interior walls. I’d make the first floor walls a group or component before starting on the second floor.

If you know the wall across the corner will be the same thickness as the abutting walls, here is how I would do it (following on from @DaveR’s suggestion). Uses Offset instead of measurements.
