@TDahl . it is actually not the height of the risers that is hard to measure. As a matter of fact, they are all the same. It is rather the length of the pieces, or the with of the stair. because they all have odd edges. But if I measure them with the tape measure, parallel to the blue axis and I take 1 cm extra, it can’t go wrong. I just have to know at what length I have to cut them on the panel saw (straight). Afterwards, I scribe them on the mounted staircase, so I can cut them by hand, or even better , mounted on the tread and trim it with the bandsaw (along the edge of the tread) Tricks of the trade!!!
I apologize for never understanding what exactly it is that you seek to measure. That is why I asked you to highlight or otherwise visually indicate exactly what aspect of the model you desire. In your latest screen-capture you showed a stair riser selected. I guessed from your earlier descriptions that you wanted to measure the height of that stair. Apparently I guessed wrongly.
I do not understand this either, because none of the stair riser (horizontal) widths are parallel to the (vertical) Blue axis. Good luck!
