How can we crop an image?
You can probably crop images in a variety ol ways using different image editing programs. I would not use SU for this specific purpose. My software of choice for image editing is Photoshop, but many others exist. A free image editor is Gimp and this could also be used to crop images. (Click the bold text to download.)
Once cropped to your satisfaction, the image can be imported to your skp file.

If the “image” is a texture on a face (that means you exploded the Image object), you can move the face’s edges or draw edges as a new boundary. Then right-click and “Make texture unique”.
The result is often not as satisfactory as using a professional image editor where you have control over the resolution, orientation and sampling method (e.g. smooth: bilinear, cubic…).
