Furniture from 3D warehouse

why is the furniture I downloaded from 3D warehouse is so big? I use Sketchup 2015. I checked the house model size with a person I got from Sketchup component

my house is 12x14m i also downloaded from 3d ware houee

Models can have any ‘scale’ the modeller wishes…
that one was most likely drawn at a larger scale to ensure all the small triangles, on the curved surfaces, formed faces…
this is often a necessary step in SU…
you simply need to scale it to your requirements…
