Follow me on a compound arc

I have a compound arc on a compound curve.
I am trying to get a half circle to follow the arc but the results are disappointing. Any suggestions please?

That’s normal for Follow Me. Try using Eneroth Upright Extruder instead.

Thanks Dave I just thought why not try a full circle and it worked.
I will try your method as well.

Tried upright extruder and it works better than the follow me tool but still a bit of a gap.
I will go with a full circle to make sure the extruded rail is secure for 3d printing.
