Hi, I’m new to sketch up and wanted to know if anyone can explain how to draw a groove cut out from the inside of a circle?
DO you have an example of what you are talking about? A circle is a 2D object, so I’m having a hard time visualizing what a “groove” in a 2d shape would look like. If you have a picture of what you are trying to create, I’m sure someone here could help you out!
You can use SketchUp’s Follow Me tool to lathe a complex closed form aka a solid of revolution.
Here’s a video tutorial explaining how to lathe shapes with the Follow Me tool:
Thank you Aaron, Im sorry for the perplexing question. I will try to find a picture and upload .
