4cm != 4 cm ?
It’s my first time using sketchup, so apologies if this is a very n00b question.
Why does the long beam (4cm width) not fit perfectly in a 4cm space?
Looks like you just have Display Precision set too coarse. I’d bet my lunch money that at least one of those dimensions isn’t 4.0 cm. Increase Display Precision in Model Info.

Generally I prefer to set that much higher than I need in the real world so I can see tiny discrepancies if they occur.
Also while you’re in that panel turn off Length Snapping. Having it on can lead to imprecise modeling.
