That looks very interesting. You could change the last label to say ‘SU2021 & Above’, rather than ‘Above 2021’. Otherwise it looks like there is no option to get a 2021 file.
i love u so much men, you saved ma day

Thank you for this great solution! The plugin menu didn’t show at first, then it appeared. ![]()
Windows user!
I’m having trouble downloading your extension. I signed up to Sketchucation (free) and did a search for “dezmo”. There were two listing for the “save to older SketchUp Versions” plugin. Clicking on either gets me a “plugin not found”. Do I need to do something else?
For reference, I use SketchUp Pro 2025 on a Mac mini
Install the Sketchucation Extension Store and use it to search for and install the extension. Search for Save to older SketchUp Version. It’ll be there.
You can also download it from the first post of this topic.
Dave/Dezmo
I apologize for my lack of extension knowledge. I downloaded the "Dezmo_save… " and “SketchUcationTools” files and they show up as .rbz. I try to open them (double click) and something “opens” in the background but I don’t see anything and only three basic extensions appear in SketchUp when I open the Extension Manager (Add location, Dynamic Components and Sandbox Tools).
Obviously I’m missing something pretty basic. I appreciate your continued help.
You don’t double click on the downloaded .rbz files. In SketchUp for to Extensions>Extension Manager. Click on Install Extension at the bottom of the window. Navigate to where you saved the .rbz files. Select one and choose Open.
If you install the Sketchucation ExtensionStore you can open it and search Sketchucation for extensions and then install them directly without going through Extension Manager.
Dave,
I think I’ve said this before. Well duh! I assumed the “Install Extension” at the bottom referred to the extensions already listed in the manager. Wrong! So, I obviously was missing something simple. I got the Dezmo extension installed and will give it a try but I won’t know until tomorrow if my son will be able to open the file.
Thanks for your support.
Dave/Dezmo,
I’m happy to report that the dezmo extension allowing us to save to older versions works. And if there was any doubt of whether it works on a Mac M4 and Sequoia, banish those doubts.
Thanks again
Oh yeah it’s platform / cpu agnostic, that’s the beauty of it ![]()

I think you meant to thank @dezmo
(not that I’m not a great guy, but he did the heavy lifting)
