Just trying to delete the highlighted line, but when deleted, the entire shape goes with it. I’ve tried redrawing the shape to fill it In again, but it doesn’t work.
Edges are required to support faces. If you don’t want to see the edges you can hide them. Get the Eraser tool, tap Shift, and click on the edges you wish to hide.
I’ve tried erasing, but it does the same thing, its the highlighted line that causing trouble
Erasing isn’t the same as hiding the edges.
If erasing/deleting that edge makes the faces on either side of it go away, those faces are not in the same plane. Do you want them to be in the same plane?
BTW, make sure you keep on top of face orientation. There should be no visible blue back faces in your 3D model.
