Je viens d’acquérir une licence Sketchup Pro “lab” éducation. Pouvez-vous me confirmer que le matériel sur lequel je souhaite installer le logiciel est un minimum suffisamment puissant pour supporter cette version de Sketchup?
Processeur : Intel Core i3-10100 CPU 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
Mémoire RAM installée : 16.0 Go (15.8 Go utilisable)
Carte graphique : T600 4 Gb de VRAM
ID de produit : 00378-40000-00001-AA542
Type de système : Système d’exploitation 64 bits. Processeur x64
Édition : Windows 10 professionnel Éducation
En espérant que cette configuration suffira pour faire utiliser sketchup par des élèves de niveau bac.
The system above will definitely run Sketchup, although neither the CPU nor the GPU is the most powerful. You will certainly reach the limits of the system during your studies.
But that’s okay, because maybe this way you will be more forced to learn how to make more optimal models.
Once you finish your studies, you may have the money for the recommended configuration to run the services provided by the new graphics engine (Physically Based Rendering texture maps, Ambient Occlusion, and Image Based Lighting…).
The SketchUp Pro, desktop version software is always the same, Independent of the licence you have. It has more functions than the web version, so need more resources.
Personally, I’ve never used the “lab” version, but if it’s the version you’re talking about that can be installed on a PC, then it should be same as any desktop version (read the above post of mine).
Just install it, then you’ll see if it’s greedy or not…
there is no LAB version per say, it’s just the licensing method :
regular sketchup pro is a subscription.
LAB licences are not subscriptions, they are classic licences attached to a specific machine. they can be used without any account.
I see them (usually) in training centres where they have a handful of LAB licences on a specific number of machines. (right now I’m doing training and both PCs I have have LAB licences)
so yeah, it’s just sketchup pro.
a few new tools / items now require a subscription, and they won’t be accessible to LAB. and even if they don’t NEED a licence, it’s recommanded to have your student make an account (free). that way they’ll be able to download models from the warehouse.
back on the initial issue, yeah, machine is fine, a bit on the low end, but to learn it’s fine, and high school students won’t do a 2000m2 building overnight
(par curiosité, quel lycée / quelle ville ? je savais qu’on enseignait SU dans des collège,s mais lycées aussi ? je forme des adultes pour ma part, plus simple )
