From my understanding of where things stand, the native import/export facilities within SU (2024) are still very much Work In Progress.
There is a (small ?) team under @olivia_feng working on these aspects of SU & they now seem to be aware of the (major) issues that need sorting, but maybe what needs to happen is that they organise a virtual seminar with a bunch of us who are trying to use SU in BIM workflows in order to make sure they have a full picture of what works & what doesn’t ?

let’s hope they do, It feels as if we are a (small ?) band of regular contributors on the forum pertaining to BIM/IFC issues and rather than talk to us individually, once in a while a collective discussion would help everyone, including the Dev team… Let’s see if the idea gets any traction !
I think you mean IfcRelDefinesByType 
the authoring software must map each Component accordingly, too

I hope so too. Although there should have been someone from BuildingSmart, they are in fact the ones who Knows perfectly what is needed to be certified by them.

Yes quite right !! Me too… way back in 2018 I think SU was on the list !
Thanks for reporting the issue; my team has received a similar issue from other testers. We are currently looking into the problem. Can you share the original IFC file with us so the team can take a look? Also we are looking for users to do more IFC workflow-related research. I will reach out to you for an interview !
