I need to export a few sketchup files and work on them in Rhino. I’m getting weird behavior like two copies of the model but one is upside down. Materials won’t apply to objects. Blocks and groups are super weird. etc. What’s the cleanest way to export to Rhino?
relatively simple model. cabinetry, furniture, small room. one model is a 6000 sq ft house though. models have tags, scenes, materials, components, groups, etc.
You talk about exporting. What format are you using? Rhino can open SketchUp files directly, with no intermediate steps.
yes. that’s why I said “export”. you can open the .skp files directly in Rhino but the files come in as a total mess and I have to do a ton of work to make them useable. I basically have to explode every component/block/group and then remake them all before I can work on it.
Are your components or groups scaled? Can you post an example file?
