I just draw a hyperbolic paraboloid and I need to extract its area. Is therea easy procedure to obtain the area of a ruled surface such a hyperbolid paraboloid.
Just be aware that the calculated area is the sum of the areas of all the faces making up the surface, it is not a mathematically exact result for the theoretical curve. The more finely you subdivide the surface, the closer it will be to the theoretical result.
