Hello! I am about to buy a Macbook laptop (macbook Pro m2 “13”). My question: is this system enough for sketchup to work?

The main concern I would have is with only 8GB of memory. Because the cpu and gpu share the memory on Apple silicon, it is easier to run up against the limit.

I agree that 8GB is not enough. I’m kind of surprised that vendors still sell general-purpose computers with so little memory. 16GB or more would be highly advised (not just for SketchUp, but to run many modern applications).

I’m suprised they have the nerve to call it a “Pro” Device with so little memory. 5 of that will go immediately to the OS.
