AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB Image Export Crash 2018 mac

Running High Sierra 10.13.4 Beta

Image Export doesn’t work as it resorts in an instant splat… I have to render images on my mac pro.

GPU: AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB

crashes during a raster image export (or print) are typically caused by the OpgenGL support of the graphics card driver.

What version of SketchUp?

Please update and complete your profile.

2018 mac.

v 18.0.16976

As sketch3d_de said I assume that it has something to do with the GPU & OGL support

are you sending in the BugSplat reports?

or is this a silent instantaneous closure of SU…

the latter is more commonly an extension ruby clash…

add more details of how it happens and what extensions you have added…

The bug splat ‘app’ icon pops up.

However clicking the icon seems to do nothing as no prompt pops up.
The mac options are ‘clickable’ for the bug splat reporter… however upon clicking any of those, the reporter randomly disappears.

The sketchup client was a clean install on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) without any prior extensions.

The second one hits ‘Export’ on JPG/PNG (I assume this is the problem for all types of images) and image size (i tried 7200x7200, my mac pro handles 14400x14400 fine) the program immediately goes splat with zero delay.

each image type uses a different ‘engine’, so your assumption may be wrong…

tiff and pdf are both ‘native’ on a mac, and may even work better/faster [with larger file sizes]…

did you try smaller export sizes?
