Adjusting sun axis but not drawing plane?

Is there a trick so I can model in-line with the drawing axis but offset the sun paths to accurately reflect the orientation of prospective build?

I know this seems fundamentally at odds with how things work but it’s something I feel needs to be overcome at some stage in Sketchup’s development.

If you have Pro you can use Solar North.
