Thank you for the heads up, I can replicate the bug. I’ll keep you updated.
EDIT: Not a bug, there is no duplication. There is a copy of the component on the horizontal edges at one of its vertices and another copy of the component on the vertical edges at one of its vertices. There’s 12 edges and 12 component copies, as expected.
It’s possible to get a better understanding of the answer by using a longer component, like this:

I was trying to insert corners, the first button got me closer to what I wanted to achieve, whereas the last required more work
maybe you could consider an extra one that can do, plus is possible to insert redraw?
At this moment, Vertex Placement just makes copies of the component at the vertext using the same orientation as the original. I hope to implement some kind of better orientation in a future release, but I have to figure how to. Thank you for the video, it was very illustrative.

Yes, it works! While at it I did the same with the SketchupPlus toolbars and it worked too! Perhaps this the fix for all “mute” toolbars.

Hmmm finally tried it, it’s nice.
only trouble I’m getting, the toolbar is… weird.
uninstalled / reinstalled, relaunched, it’s no avail
I’m on a mac, last osX (13.4) and last version of SU23
button 1,2 and 4 and identical. I noticed when I needed 4.
I haven’t noticed that. @alsomar it seems that 2 icons (the pdf ones) have more than one page inside them.

I downloaded it on github, but for some reason, SU isn’t interested in installing it.
It’s monday morning, I have other cats to skin, I just took 2 min and deleted the extra pages in the pair of pdfs
