A 3d puzzle (with no answer?)

I was drawing shapes and ended up with this and wondered if I could make it have a consistent color pattern. There is probably a simple mathematical proof there’s no way to regularize 3 to 4. Could have spent hours experimenting…but did not.origami 2.skp (51.3 KB)

Just in case you thought nobody was looking at this, I have and my brain hurts!

I think it will be impossible, at least, with just the one component. It needs eight instances of each colour to get a set of three all same, two plus one or three all different triangles at each concave feature. As there are only six components there will always be two instances of each colour missing. But that’s just me!
