V-ray materials do not show up in Sketchup

Pro - updated to 2025. Selecting material in V-Ray Cosmos - choose it in Asset Editor - and normally a symbol texture (or a color minimum) would apear in Sketchup materials and in “in model” materials. And from there it can be selected for paint Sketchup objects.

Problem is - after update to 2025 - that it is show with name in Sketchup - but it´s just pure white.

What am I missing here ? thanks.

hello, it works fine here.. did you reinstall vray after updating sketchup ? Or only used the extension migrator ?
In any case it would worth reinstalling Vray

Normally you have to use the option to import them into your sketchup model before they will show there.
You normally click once to download and then a 2nd time on another arrow to import them.

If you are importing a VR-Scan (they have little purple icons on them in Cosmos), I think these ones show up with white previews in SketchUp - but you also need a license for Chaos Scans for those to render.

is chaos scans subscription only for the materials in chaos?? has anyone purchased and have a review???

The Chaos Scans are not included with the SketchUp Studio Subscription - You need to have a separate Chaos subscription for them or buy V-Ray separately from Sketchup.

They are scanned from real life materials and they look exactly accurate. You cannot really edit them.

They are good if you need additional photorealistic materials
