When you installed SketchUp did you right click on the downloaded installer and choose Run as administrator? Some others have reported that they aren’t able to stay logged in and it’s turned out that Windows is not permitting the saving the file that is created when signing in. Repairing the installation fixed it for them. You could try it. At the very least, it won’t hurt anything.
Close SketchUp, find the downloaded installer, right click on it and choose Run as administrator. Then when prompted, choose Repair. See what happens after that.
