Transition arrays

In order to make the window surrounds here I used . I have arches and door surround that use similar components that have been created using . In a larger model I use these entitys (with or [/] ) to create equally spaced window openings. On more occasions than I would care to admit I have miss-clicked the end point and had to find the start object again.

those are just arrays that you can do with the regular move tool. right?

The groups of corner coins I’m ashamed to say I took three attempts to get grouped properly because I moved to a chamfer line instead of a boundary line; every instance was stepped out. If I could have “undid” just the array command, moved it to the correct place, then re-done the array it would have been sooo much better.

The arrays were done as normal - the curved window-head stones I positioned then rotated - I should have shown a door with multiple stones over the curve:

The alternative was drawing lines to locate the central rotation point and using the copy command on the rotate tool.
Both are roughly the same number of mouse clicks.
… The slickest would be do do the two movements as shown and simply typed in [x5]

good example
agree… that’d be good…
