In order to make the window surrounds here I used . I have arches and door surround that use similar components that have been created using . In a larger model I use these entitys (with or [/] ) to create equally spaced window openings. On more occasions than I would care to admit I have miss-clicked the end point and had to find the start object again.
The groups of corner coins I’m ashamed to say I took three attempts to get grouped properly because I moved to a chamfer line instead of a boundary line; every instance was stepped out. If I could have “undid” just the array command, moved it to the correct place, then re-done the array it would have been sooo much better.
The arrays were done as normal - the curved window-head stones I positioned then rotated - I should have shown a door with multiple stones over the curve:
The alternative was drawing lines to locate the central rotation point and using the copy command on the rotate tool.
Both are roughly the same number of mouse clicks.
