yeah…well…my 7 year old machine scratches around 32 fps, this new model with (suppposeldy) more firepower ups that to 41 fps. not that much of gainer for seven years of technological advancement - as said before - i think it might have a lot to do with the software side, people tend to mention this “viewport rendering” in other threads (my humble guess would be still that…it simply might be inefficient programming, given the number of polys other also single-threaded programs can pull off)
I was using that same config and it was blazing fast. No problems at all
