Is there any way to only view outer profiles without the edges turned on? There is a lot of geometry showing. I just want to export outer linework of a scene to .dwg so I can import it into illustrator. I only want to see the outside edges, not interior lines.
It depends on the model. You can edit the style and turn off edges but leave Profiles on but each group or component will have its own profiles. If you don’t want that, you could explode all the groups and components.
Also depending on the model, you might send the scene to LayOut and then use LO’s drawing tools to trace the outline. After that, remove the viewport and export the image of just the drawn lines.
