Does anyone know why this dialog box keeps appearing when I load SU?

I can see that it seems to have something to do with the extension Libfredo6 but what I’m not sure. Does the extension need reinstalling? It doesn’t seem to affect performance once I have dismissed the dialog box.

That looks to me like you have gotten versions mixed in Fredo’s toolset. The error is an incorrect invocation of his function to check for new versions. I’d manually check for updates on sketchucation.
