For the past few years, I’ve been using Sketchup to recreate places from my past and then explore them in virtual reality. I’ve made a video documenting my process which ends with me exploring a VR recreation of my 1990s childhood basement, while walking through the basement as it exists today.
Pretty much everything in this video was made in Sketchup, with the exception of the action figures, which were made in SculptrVR and imported into Sketchup. I think it really shows how incredibly versatile this program is!
