Plug-in for map features?

I’m looking for an easier way to make layout plans of a specific site from google earth or other satellite image. Currently I’m having to manually trace out things like fountains, planters, or other landscape features and it would be great if there was a way to import these outlines. I’m currently using peacemaker which does a decent job of importing the roads, paths, and buildings.

Google Earth can no longer be used with SketchUp.

SketchUp Pro will use other satellite mapping data for the Add Location feature.
These inserted images are raster data.

I think @jimhami42 posted a utility somewhere that will create curves along the boundary of different colored pixels in a raster image.

If you can create a high-quality color BMP image, there is a plugin which will import it for you. For example, here’s the letter “B” imported from a 893 x 943 image (the higher the resolution, the better the result): [image] You can download the plugin from here: https://sites.google.com/site/spirixcode/code/spirix_bmp_tracer.rbz Once installed, it should show up on the Extensions menu as “BMP Tracer”.
