as I mentioned here, you’ve managed to give a terrible name to your plugin.
It’s not named Gaussian Splat. or Splats. or Splatoon.
It’s named Extension Sketcthup Splat.
it’s not sorted with G. or S. it’s sorted with E
I guess the private labs version was “Extension SketchUp Splat”.
The public labs version is normally “SketchUp Splat Extension”.
that’s not really the improvement you think it is 
I mean ok, I’ll grant you that one, because Splat and sketchup sort the same way.
Gaussian Splats by Sketchup was taken ? 
it’s really more about consistency.
If we had SU sandbox, SU scan essential, SU AI stuff, SU geolocation, then SU splats would be perfectly fine, as I mention in the other thread.
but this is all over the alphabet.
It’s a bit like the fact that the rbz file of scan essentical is named PCP. I’m sure there is logic in there, but for someone down the line trying to fix a crash on launch by deleting scan essential, it’s not obvious 
PCP stands for Point Cloud Plugin. It was the name of the extension during the closed beta. It was later renamed TPCP (the “T” stands for Trimble).
The extension was originally developed by another Trimble division (which is now part of Field Systems), which is why “Trimble” was added to the name back then. The name Trimble Scan Essentials was not chosen by the SketchUp team. In fact, many Trimble extensions start with “Trimble.”
I’ll bring this topic up with the PMs.
yeah, that’s why most movies have a “in production name” and then a very public name. now to go with PCP, we might need a new plugin with LSD as acronym 
yeah, like I said, rename all of them Trimble XXXX or SU XXXX. the variety adds more to the global confusion
it’s like with sketchup diffusion, wait, no, AI render. I still have people ask me where they can get the “diffusion thing” they’ve heard of. pick a naming system, stick to it,
lsd, lsd… Light Support Documentation. no idea what it does, that’s your job 
Are they the SUPMs or are they TPMs or are they post or pre management managers?
I love SketchUp.
I hate it that my teenagers are better organized than some of the stuff put out by T and SU.
