I have a gear and a shaft that the gear will ride on. What I’d like to do is add a series of triangles around the inside of the gear and add cutouts corresponding to those triangles to the end of the shaft. The idea is this would act as a primitive clutch for this gear. I am at a loss as to how I could accomplish this.
Draw a single ‘tooth’ then do a radial copy using the Rotate Tool and Ctrl key. Enter 23x to create the remaining ‘teeth’. Pushpull to espose the ‘teeth’.

This is really helpful and I think it might work. I didn’t explain it very well but the implementation I was thinking of would have the teeth sticking up from the flat surfaces, much like you see in a pen that can retract the ink. I am going to play around with what you show and see if I can apply it.
