Is there any free models to download for sketchup to use with 3d printing to play with?
Several sources. Two I know of are the Sketchup 3Dwarehouse, and Thingiverse.
Try searching with google for more ideas.
You can use advanced search on 3D Warehouse and tick ‘Only Show Printable Models’.
Then you’ll see an icon on top of models that means it’s suitable for 3D print (Note that depending on geometry, it may not result good).
