Model part is reversed face and repair makes it disappear

A part in sketchup is showing the whole part as reversed and the repair fixes it but makes it disappear. How do I fix it so it doesn’t make it disappear? I’m using sketchup 2017

As a guess, have you applied a transparent material to the front faces?

I don’t see any faces disappearing when I correct the reversed ones.

Maybe you can show a screen shot that illustrates the missing faces.
